About me

For many times, when people knew that my background is corpus linguistics, they asked, corpse linguistics? What the hell is corpse linguistics? Yes, although corpus linguistics has a not very short history, but there are still many people unaware of this subject.

I feel really lucky because I was introduced to this when I was in my sophomore year. And at the same year, I attended a corpus conference; which brought me a clearer understanding of this subject. More luckily, one year later, I was accepted by University of Birmingham and continued my postgraduate study at one of the best school of corpus linguistics.

Now I am working on corpus linguistics and sentiment analysis, because I understand there is a very huge gap between computational linguistics and other linguistics branches. If possible, I would like to try my best to bridge this gap.

At last, I am new into coding world, though I found that I am more a coder than a linguist student somehow. I would like to share my learning experience of Shell, awk, sed and R, maybe Python next.

Cheers!
